Welcome to TestJS Summit 2023!

Let’s create an unforgettable experience that will stay with you for years. To make this possible, please use this guide, so you know all important info & policies that will ensure you have a safe and productive conference!

General information

  • Discord invite link (attendees, speakers will be able to interact there before/during/after the conference)

  • GitNation portal (registration there is needed to get access to the stream, also for workshop registration and after the conference you’ll find there workshops & talks recordings & certificates)
Interaction via Conference Discord Channels

All the main communication will be in discord. Click here to join the discord channels.

How to connect to discord:

  1. Join Discord server via the link.
  2. After joining the server you’ll get a welcome message

  1. You need to go to #pick-your-role channel and pick your event by clicking on relevant emoji - for TestJS Summit – 🐞.
  2. After clicking relevant emoji you should get access to TestJS Summit channels

  • #💼testjs-workshops - a channel for workshop participants, there you can find threads for each workshop
  • #🌆activities-around-summit – walking around Berlin is more fun with new friends. Just post about your plans and invite folks to join!

Workshops (registration details included)

There are two types of workshops: FREE & PRO.

Workshops will be run remotely via Zoom. The recordings of most workshops will be shared with full ticket holders after the conference. How to register:

Talk recordings after the conference

All recordings will be placed at the GitNation portal.

Recordings from remote days will be placed right after the conference, in-person recordings - within 1-2 weeks after the conference.

Attendees with Free Tickets will be able to get recordings in a month after the conference.

Certificates

After the second day of the conference, each participant will receive a certificate which will appear in participant’s GitNation portal account. You will get the notification in your email address.

Note, to receive a certificate you need to have an account in the GitNation portal.

Non-exclusionary conversations

Most of our attendees work as mid-level or senior software developers. However, juniors and students will also be present at the event. Please remember that you were once one of them, and treat them with respect regardless of experience.

Our conference is dedicated to providing a harassment-free experience for everyone, regardless of gender, gender identity and expression, age, sexual orientation, disability, physical appearance, body size, race, ethnicity, religion (or lack thereof), or technology choices. We do not tolerate harassment of conference participants in any form. Sexual language and imagery is not appropriate for any conference venue, including talks, workshops, parties, X (Twitter) and other online media. Conference participants violating these rules may be sanctioned or expelled from the conference without a refund at the discretion of the conference organisers.

📌  Conference Announcements

We will make various announcements via the #📢testjs-announcements channel on Discord GitNation Tech Communities server.

📌 Schedule

Important note! The live broadcast will start later than the in-person programme in order to be accessible to most time zones. In the evening we’ll repeat the part from the morning. So the programme will be exactly the same as for face-to-face listeners.

We will have 2 tracks: Production & Testing Localhost. Each track will have a different speakers in parallel. The schedule can be found on the website. Times are shown in your local browser time zone.

📌  Discussion Room

On December 7 we’ll have 2 discussion rooms:

  • 14:10-14:55 CET - AI Testing
  • 15:40-16:25 CET - Testing Tools & Frameworks

Location: Zoom (you'll be able to join the discussion room from the watch page by clicking on a corresponding item on our timeline placed under player).

How to join Discussion rooms?

You can join a speaker / discussion room in two ways:

By Watch page

Go to the watch page –> Click on the discussion room button on timeline –> Go to Spatial.chat and in the rooms list on the right find the room named "Discussion Room" and click on it to join.

By Spatial.chat

You can join Spatial.chat via the link on the Watch page above the player. When you join the platform just find the room named "Discussion Room or Speakers Room" in the rooms list on the right and click on it to join.
