Welcome to React Summit 2025! We are so excited to have you! Use this guide, so you know all the important info & policies that will ensure you have a safe and productive and amazing conference!

💻 Workshops

We will hold workshops before and after the conference. There are two types of workshops: free workshops and pro workshops.

Free Workshops

The workshops take place remotely. To take part in the workshop you have to register separately via the GitNation portal.

Pro-workshops

The workshops take place in person and online, you can find out more about the workshops here. They are not included in the main ticket, you can buy tickets for them separately. If you buy a ticket, you will receive an email with full information.

🎊 Pre-Party & Badge Pick Up / June 11

On June 11 we’ll have a special pre-party for conference attendees. You are invited to - WestWeelde Bar & Restaurant - Located in Westerpark, Klönneplein 4, 1014 DD Amsterdam, Netherlands, starting at 19:00 CEST. !!! You will receive your conference badge there.

📅 React Summit Day 1 - What Will Happen

Registration / Start at 7:00 CEST

Prior to the conference, you will receive an email with information about the time window in which you will be able to register as a conference participant. We kindly ask you to show up at the venue at the designated time, otherwise, we will not be able to register you before the first talk, which will cause missing it.

We will have 2 tracks: Summit Track & Base Camp Track. Each track will have a different speaker in parallel.

Speaker QnA spots

After each talk, you will be able to ask questions to the speakers in-person. We’ll have a dedicated Speaker Q&A spot. Head there after onstage QnA to ask your questions to speaker personally. Location: look for the black booth with Speaker Q&A banner between the two halls. !!! The speaker Q&A room will be hybrid, meaning that remote attendees will also be able to join via watch page.

Discussion Room

On June 13 we’ll have 2 discussion rooms:

  • 14:55-15:35 - Career Growth
  • 16:20-17:00 - Maintaining a Library and a Community

Find the exact schedule on the conference website. Location: 1 floor – look for Discussion room signs and arrows. !!! The discussion rooms will be hybrid as well, meaning that remote attendees will also be able to join via ZOOM (link to ZOOM can be found on the watch page).

Color Quest - complete the quest and win a prize 🏆

Welcome to the Color Quest! We’ll have a game during the day. As soon as you arrive and register, you will receive a detailed brochure containing all the essential information about the event and a sticker pack of one colour. Your mission is to collect stickers of all the different colours by placing them into the empty cells on your brochure. To complete your quest, you are to engage with the participants, get to know each other, and exchange colored stickers. Remember, there's a special color waiting for you at the GN booth, so be sure to stop by and gather that sticker as a part of your adventure. The winners will be announced before the last talk in Summit Track and will get the prizes! Prizes: t-shirts, mugs, LEGO and many more!

Circa has 240 private parking spaces available on site.

Shuttles Service

Experience the charm of Amsterdam by traveling to the venue by bus! We will offer a continuous shuttle service throughout the morning between Circa and Sloterdijk. If you happen to miss a bus, don't worry! You can wait for the next one, which will arrive in about 20 minutes. The location is situated in a prime location directly at the exit of the A5 and A10 motorways and only 900 metres from Sloterdijk Station.

Other info

Wi-Fi: This year, there won't be WiFi available at the venue. Given the large number of people, the wifi has been always unstable. Therefore, we've devised an alternative solution: you can buy Esim with 15% discount using promo code GITNATION15 at Airalo.

Lost & found: If you find an item that is on its own (bag, laptop, phone, etc), please do the right thing and bring it to the organizers or volunteers at the registration desk, they will find the owner of the item.

Wheelchair access: The majority of the area you will need to access is paved. There are wheelchair-accessible tables in the venue and elevator to get to the discussion room.

Filming & Photography: A professional crew will be taking photos and videos at the event for future promotion of the event. The stage talks will be photographed, recorded, and streamed live on the Watch page. Talk recordings will be provided to full-access attendees within 1-2 weeks after the conference.

Breakfast

Yoghurt | fresh fruit (gluten free, vegan optional), pancake bar: fresh fruit and maple sirop, banana bread. Coffee, tea, water

A mix of fresh fruits, cereal bars, candies, veggie crisps, pop corn low calories and homemade banana bread. Coffee, tea, water

Lunch

There will be three separate lunch groups, tailored for your convenience: inside & outside (food trucks - to the right of the entrance.)

Lunch group 1: grab your lunch inside from 12.50 to 13.35 (exchange your food ticket for one free lunch set)

Lunch group 2: grab your lunch inside from 13.25 to 14.10 (exchange your food ticket for one free lunch set)

Lunch group 3: grab your lunch outside( food trucks) from 12.00 to 15.00 (exchange your food ticket for one free lunch set)

🛶 Hangout Day / June 14

Spend time with the community and network with conference participants and speakers in boat and walking tours on June 14.

The number of seats is limited and if you registered, but decided not to go, it's important to inform us about it, cause there's a waiting list of people who couldn't get a place on tour.
